Traveloka Cooperates with Chubb for Train Travel Insurance

JAKARTA, 23 November 2017 – Traveloka, a technology company that provides a travel booking platform for domestic and international destinations, is the first online travel agency (OTA) in Indonesia to introduce a train travel insurance service. Underwritten by PT Chubb General Insurance Indonesia (Chubb), a leading insurer, the train travel insurance is designed to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for train travelers. Available since 1 November 2017, the train travel insurance service can be accessed through the Traveloka website and the Traveloka App v2.18 or higher.

Customers can now travel with peace of mind knowing that the insurance covers losses resulting from the following incidents: loss of personal items, personal accident, trip cancellation and medical reimbursement due to accidents. As part of the user-friendly experience, this train travel insurance service can be easily purchased by simply ticking a check-box that is available on the booking page.

The train travel insurance service is categorized according to the three classes of travel: economy, business and executive. Prices start from IDR6,000 (economy class), IDR9,000 (business class) and IDR12,500 (executive class) with a total of IDR12.35 million worth of coverage.
