Traveloka Vietnam Joins Exclusive List of The Top 50 Best Companies to Work With in Asia

VIETNAM, 17th July 2019 – Traveloka, the leading Travel & Lifestyle booking platform in Southeast Asia, joins an exclusive list of 50 corporations in Vietnam ranked as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia.” Leading Human Resource publication HR Asia conducted a comprehensive study to assess workplace environments, employee engagement, and corporate policies. The study, which covers 11 major markets in Asia, surveyed a total of 9,850 employees across 265 companies with operations in Vietnam. Researchers from HR Asia conducted detailed assessments and interviews with company executives to gain a better understanding of HR policies, recruitment process, employment information and other factors to assess the work environments of the organizations.

The survey executed by HR Asia centers upon its Total Engagement Assessment Model (T.E.A.M). This new analytical framework covers employees’ emotional engagement (Heart), intention and motivation (Mind), advocacy and behavior (Soul), in addition to collective consciousness (Think), workplace sentiment (Feel), and team dynamics (Do). As stated by William Ng, group publisher and editor-in-chief of Business Media International, applying this comprehensive model, “results in a unique 360 degree employee engagement survey that studies not just how much an employee is engaged, but also how employees engage in a group environment and in response to corporate initiatives.” The responses were recorded to address issues regarding corporate culture, employee engagement, and team dynamics.

The results indicate that employees within these Top 50 ranked organizations value individual specialization, yet are still able to engage in a high level of collaboration. Moreover, these employees constantly look for ways to improve their contributions towards their organizations as a whole. In other words, workers act selflessly and collectively to better achieve the goals of the organization. The study establishes a strong link between corporate-level initiatives and employee engagement. In other words, companies that communicate their goals strategically to employees will incite a high level of motivation and collaboration among the workforce. Hence, organizations that offer flexible arrangements and enable employees to gain additional skills are more likely to perform at a high level.
