Traveloka Becomes Official Media & Broadcast Sponsor of FMA for 2018 FIFA World Cup Program in Indonesia

JAKARTA, 1 March 2018 – Traveloka, a leading technology company that provides an online travel booking platform for domestic and international destinations, announces its participation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the world’s biggest soccer event which takes place in Russia from 14 June – 15 July, as Media & Broadcast Sponsor of FMA for 2018 FIFA World Cup Program in Indonesia. Traveloka’s participation as the first and only Indonesian technology company that becomes official partner of the 21st FIFA World Cup is attributed to its cooperation with 2018 FIFA World Cup’s official territorial licensing in Indonesia, Futball Momentum Asia (FMA).

Having previously supported a series of local events with success, now Traveloka proudly supports the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This outlook aligns with Traveloka’s company history, a homegrown company headquartered in Indonesia which has currently expanded to five other countries in Southeast Asia.

Elaborating further on this, Traveloka Chief Marketing Officer, Dannis Muhammad said that the 2018 FIFA World Cup and its global impact aligns perfectly with Traveloka’s mission to always be present in their customers’ various special moments. “The FIFA World Cup is a special moment that has always been anticipated by people all over the world, including in Indonesia. By participating in this worldwide event, Traveloka strives to facilitate their customers in creating these moments and celebrate them with families and friends, wherever they are.”

This quadrennial sporting event will be held for the 21st time and is scheduled to run for a month. This year, the world’s biggest soccer event will take place in Russia for the first time, where 32 nations will compete to win the prestigious FIFA World Cup Trophy.

In anticipation of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Traveloka rolls out exclusive offers for soccer fans who want to feel the festivities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, either directly in Russia or in Indonesia. Other than providing various travel needs to Russia, Traveloka will also add to the excitement by preparing interactive activities on Traveloka App as well as handing out exclusive opportunities for the hotel partners that want to organize watching sessions, with licenses that can be obtained through Traveloka.

Sharing the euphoria of 2018 FIFA World Cup with all soccer fans in Indonesia is the most important thing for Traveloka. “We realize that sports can unite everyone in the society, and unforgettable moments will be created throughout a soccer match. Therefore, Traveloka’s participation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup is part of Traveloka’s commitment to create moments together with your loved ones,” added Dannis.

FMA Chief Executive Officer, David Khim welcomes the cooperation with Traveloka on a positive note, “We feel pleased and honored to collaborate with Traveloka, which is already well-established in Southeast Asia. Indonesia itself is well-known as one of the countries with the biggest number of soccer fans in the world. Together with Traveloka, we hope to provide soccer fans in Indonesia with the best experience in order to feel the excitement of this global event as it should be,” said David.
