Traveloka Has Won Two Categories in Top Brand Award for the Second Year Running

Traveloka, Indonesia’s leading travel booking app for domestic and international destinations, received the prestigious Top Brand Award 2016 for two categories at the “Top Brand Spectacular Moment” awards ceremony, which was held at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, 24 August 2016. For two years in a row, Traveloka has taken the top spots for Online Hotel Reservation and Online Travel Agency categories, with Top Brand Index (TBI) scores of 74.8% and 59.6% respectively this year.

Based on Google research, 67% of Indonesians make their travel bookings (flights & hotels)  on smartphones, which stimulates Traveloka to be the leading travel booking app for flights and hotels in Indonesia. The Top Brand Award has proven Traveloka’s credibility towards Indonesian customers. Previously on 12 August 2016, it was also announced that Traveloka ranked first in  ‘One to Watch’ category in the BrandZ™ Top 50 Most Valuable Indonesian Brands 2016, released by WPP and Millward Brown. Traveloka won the award for its highest brand potential score among private online and tech brands in Indonesia with 33% of potential future growth.

Top Brand Award is an exceptional recognition for brands that are considered a top brand based on a survey conducted by Frontier Consulting Group. This year, Frontier Consulting Group has widened the survey area, from 11 cities to 15 cities in Indonesia with a total of 14,000 respondents. The Top Brand Index (TBI) is determined using three parameters, which are Top of Mind awareness, Last Used, and Future Intention.
