Traveloka Supports Indonesian Diving Women’s (WASI) Mission to Break The Guinness World Record

Jakarta, 3 May 2019 - Traveloka, aleading technology company that offers local and international travel and lifestyle services in a single booking platform, declared its support for the Indonesian Diving Women Organization (WASI) to break the world record for most mass divers. The signing agreement in the form of a memorandum of understanding was represented by Caesar Indra, CEO Transportation Traveloka and Tri Tito Karnavian, Chairman of WASI.

Representing Traveloka, Caesar Indra, CEO of Traveloka Transportation, stated, “We always strive to give a positive impact for the growth and development of the Indonesian tourism, and one way to do so is by supporting this event.”

“We truly believe that any business activity Traveloka pursues must bring a positive impact and create a positive contribution for the development of tourism in any region and its natural resources, in this case, the underwater cultural heritage of Manado,” added Caesar.

The main purpose of Traveloka’s support for WASI is to promote the sustainability of ecotourism in order to preserve and unleash the potential of natural resources that support tourism in Indonesia.

On the other side, Tri Tito Karnavian, Chairman of WASI, also appreciates Traveloka’s commitment towards supporting ecotourism in Indonesia, “I am very proud of Traveloka for their commitment and support for the continued growth of sustainable tourism in Indonesia.”

“We hope that other companies in Indonesia will contribute to support the ecotourism as exemplified by Traveloka. Not just for other companies to grow, but for companies to offer a strong commitment to advance the sustainability of our natural resources which we believe to be our shared duty and responsibility,” he continued.
